The Park, Vaughan, Fleming & Dowler LLP staff is composed of professionals in three personnel classifications:
• Patent attorney. All of our attorneys all have a strong technical background in addition to a J.D. degree. They are admitted to one or more state bars, recognized in federal district or appeals courts, and are registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Their expertise encompasses pre-litigation patent investigation and analysis, patent litigation counseling, patent portfolio analysis, patent enforcement matters, development of offensive and defensive litigation strategy, settlement negotiations, patent licensing, and other pursuits.
• Patent agent. Our staff members in this classification have technical credentials and academic degrees at the master’s or doctoral level in the engineering or computer science disciplines, and are registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. They have expertise in procuring patents for complex electrical and computer-related technologies, as well as for mechanical and material inventions.
• Patent engineer. Our staff members in this classification have technical credentials and academic degrees at the master’s or doctoral level in the engineering or computer science disciplines. They have expertise in procuring patents for complex electrical and computer-related technologies, as well as for mechanical and material inventions.
• Paralegal. Our paralegal staff members, who work with our patent attorneys and patent engineers, are intimately familiar with U.S. patent and trademark regulations, as well as with docketing procedures.
